Code Inspections FAQ

Common questions about code inspections in Portland, OR.

A licensed electrician can inspect your system and document its condition before you list in Portland. Buyers and their agents often flag electrical issues, so knowing your system's status ahead of time helps avoid delays at closing.

An electrical code inspection in Portland covers your panel, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, grounding, and visible wiring throughout the home. Your electrician will note any items that do not meet current Oregon Electrical Specialty Code requirements.

Your Portland home likely needs an inspection if it is more than 30 years old, has never been professionally evaluated, or shows signs like flickering lights or frequently tripping breakers. An inspection is also a smart step after any remodel or before adding high-demand appliances.

"Hadn’t been to the Moda Center previously, but went to see a Jo Koy performance there last month and it’s a really nice arena. Was really impressed how modern and clean it was! My only issue was sitting in the floor seats section and they put out the foldable chairs and set them up so close to each other - if the person next to you is large, their body will be pushing against you the whole night - and that’s what happened to us, on both sides! 😳 other than that, had a good experience watching the show and enjoying my popcorn, candy, and drinks!"

"The real deal. We’ve seen so many sports events, concerts, performances here. This is the one! The staff is super friendly and are very intricate part of the Portland community there there because they are want to be there. Theater of the Clouds for concerts is rock solid."

"What a beautiful venue. I was in town specifically for the Sigur Ros. My friend got my ticket so all I had to cover was my flight over. This was my first time at this venue. Parking was a little chaotic. Fortunately, we already prepaid for the space. We got there early enough that it wasn’t too crazy yet. We had just enough time to use the bathroom and go upstairs to grab a drink. The area upstairs was super nice. There was far less people up there. I’m guessing it was due to most vendors not being open. All the food options I wanted were closed. Bummer We had amazing seats. There’s no bad seat in the space. It’s a pretty intimate space. We were to the side of the stage, just by the curtains that were partitioned to block off the area not being used. The acoustics was amazing. The orchestra that played with the band sounded powerful. The band sounded ethereal. It was my fourth time seeing them and they still hit like it’s the first time. Let me not forget to mention the most important thing which is how amazing the staff was. What I remember most from this visit was how great the service in the city was. Every person we came in contact with was so friendly. They were all smiles, always said thank you like they were glad to see you there. The level of customer service I always appreciate when I’m out and about. Talk about teamwork cos the whole night was seamless. The entrance was smooth because they guided you and were there to assist if you had issues scanning your eticket. Security was a breeze for us since we had no bags. I’ll definitely be checking their calendar since I stay down to clown when it comes to music. I’m for sure coming back."

"I’ve been to Moda probably a dozen times over the years and this was the best visit I’ve had. My wife and I attended the Sigur Ros concert so I am open ti the idea that the crowd heavily influenced my experience (not a lot of rapscallions attending Sigur Ros). We arrived about 30 min late early using an Uber, the drop off was easy enough, traffic was there but moving. I am certain with a larger crowd (during basketball games and larger concerts, that the traffic is pretty heinous as I would probably elect to park and ride trimet to the arena. The hall around the arena could probably benefit from being bigger, the foot traffic was pretty thick for such a small event. Getting to our seats was straightforward, the lower bowl had very shallow steps which led easy seating but an easily obstructed view as the stadium seating was also shallow. The acoustics were better than I’ve heard there before with the same band, good enough for an arena drink and food selection, their whiskey sour was way better than I expected. We left the arena the same way we came with an easy pickup from uber in a rideshare pickup area which was very dark. Some security lighting would be good just for an hour after events even. Light pollution is something I want to consider of course. Good visit, still prefer just about anywhere else in town or surrounding for a concert."
